Favorite Celebrity Boy Names 2019For all the boys with big names, the kids called Psalm and Slash and Bruce, there’s another category of high profile birth announcement. How ’bout those favorite celebrity boy names, the ones that we like for celebrities … or for the kid next door?

This list rounds up the so-called normal names chosen by famous families in 2019. While I’ve started with my eight favorites, it’s your challenge to help narrow it to just one winner. They’ll join Margot and Sebastian – the 2018 winners – in the Appellation Mountain Baby Name Hall of Fame.

If you’re looking for something quirkier or more headline-worthy, see my list here. But if you’re all about the names that fall somewhere between stylish and familiar? This is the list – and the contest! – for you.

Read on for my eight picks for favorite celebrity boy names 2019, and don’t forget to vote!

EIGHT FAVORITE CELEBRITY BOY NAMES 2019

Brooks Bachelor alums Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert welcomed son Brooks Easton this year, making Emerson a big sister. Brooks feels a little novel, but rooted in tradition. It stands at #161 in the US.

Carter – Among the most popular of surname names, Top Chef alum Leah Cohen named her son Carter Graham in 2019. She and husband Ben Byruch chose Carter’s initials to honor family. Carter currently ranks #24.

Charlie – Classic Charles is more popular, but just Charlie comes in at #218. Lauren Conrad is the latest celeb parent to choose the name. She and husband Will Tell welcomed Charlie Wolf this fall, a brother for Liam. If that sounds familiar, it’s because Zooey Deschanel used the same name in 2017.

Hudson – HGTV celeb Christina Anstead chose a surname-style place name pick for her new son with husband Ant Anstead. Hudson London joins Christina’s two children from her first marriage, daughter Taylor and son Brayden, and Ant’s children, Amelie and Archie. The name currently ranks #54 in the US.

Kingston – Way back in 2006, tastemaker Gwen Stefani put this surname-place name on the map when she welcomed son Kingston James McGregor. The name immediately caught on, and today ranks #117 in the US. Spy Kids alum Alexa PenaVega welcomed son Kingston James earlier this year; he joins older brother Ocean.

Jasper – Chelsea Clinton’s first two children have wildly popular names, Charlotte and Aidan. She and husband Marc Mezvinsky made a slightly less common choice for new son Jasper. The name stands at #154 – not too rare, but not a Top 100 favorite, either – at least not yet.

Max – Singer Natalie Imbruglia welcomed son Max Valentine in October. Add up all of the many Max names in favor right now, and perhaps it feels even more popular. But the three-letter Max is currently the #136 name in the US.

Theodore – NBC News’ Richard Engel and wife Mary Forrest are calling their new son Theo, but it’s Theodore Forrest on the birth certificate. Theo joins big brother Henry Thomas. The name ranks #44, making it one of the most stylish of the classic boy names.

  1. I mean if you pair classics with more modern names here, you know the classics will win. I knew the favorites of each poll before even voting lol.
