  1. Oh my goodness, how exciting would this be! I would have to be selfish and choose my own name, Whitney – I’ve never cared for it much so I’d be thrilled to see any sort of positive connotations about it 😉 I’m unsure of exactly who else I would choose, but at the moment I’m thinking Dominique and Wisteria would definitely be among them.

  2. Sounds like fun…I’d love to know more about Charlotte and Charmaine. They’re interesting names.

  3. Hmmmm I might try to keep it in the family with a boy name like Lane, and even go crazy with my hispanic side like Jaime (High-meh).

  4. the blind preacher’s daughter in Flannery O’connor’s first novel, Wise Blood: Sabbath Lily Hawks.

  5. This is awesome!!!

I don’t know what I’d choose, the possibilities are endless!! Ideas I’m thinking of now are Padma, Rosamund, Magali, Guinevere, Margot, Giovanna, Angelique… And of course I’d throw in a few boys names! Maybe John or Antoine.

  6. Great contest! I’m in:
I would choose a Persian name, like Manijeh or Parastoo.
Or maybe, since it would be around X-mas, names like Merry or Hollie.

  7. Well, it would sure be fun picking five… and daunting! Old school like Douglas? 70s/80s throwback like Corey or Valerie? Modern surname (inspired by a neighbor girl) Presley? Trip to Argentina (or ABBA-land) with Fernando? Or Vanina? Off to Russia for Galina or Oksana? Or inspired by cousins with an Indian names like Suninidiya…. goodness, it’s a fantastic idea!
