Halloween Baby Names 2018: Witches Final

Halloween is just around the corner! That means it’s time for the Great Halloween Baby Names contest final … witches’ edition.

This year, all of the names come from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We started out with twelve magical monikers, but have reduced them to just two finalists, thanks to your votes.

Here’s a twist: our finalists belong to the same house at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Or, to be more precise, one is the founder of the house; the other, among its most celebrated graduates.

Can you guess the outcome of our last round?

That’s right! Luna bested Hermione, 60% to 40%. This celestial name seems unstoppable, doesn’t it? When we first met Luna, her quirky, off-beat fashion choices and beliefs defined her. But she quickly became a trusted friend and ally to Harry.

In our second contest, Rowena edged out Minerva, 52% to 48%. Much closer, right? Rowena Ravenclaw was one of the four Hogwarts co-founders. It’s said that it’s house for those of “wit and learning.”

This means that our final two choices are clear. Ready, set, vote!
