You’ve voted and voted, and now we’re down to just one final contest. This round determines the winner of the Favorite Celebrity Girl Names 2019!
Let’s review the SemiFinal results:
- Nora took a commanding lead over Ruby, earning just over 58% of the vote. That’s not a walloping, but there’s no ambiguity in those results, either.
- But the next contest? It was wild! By the thinnest of margins, it’s Violet that advances. Violet score 50.18%, versus 49.82% for Eloise. If you recall, I initially mis-published the poll, with Eloise facing Ruby. Even with that error, Violet (just barely) carried the day.
So that means that our two finalists for Favorite Celebrity Baby Name of the Year are:
- Nora, daughter of actors Jay Ellis – you know him from Insecure – and Nina Senicar. They welcomed Nora Grace this summer. Nora ranks #30 in the US right now.
- Violet, daughter of musician Tim Lopez and wife Jenna. Lopez is most famous as a member of The Plain White T’s. This flower power name stands at #43 in the US.
Proof that high profile birth announcements are packed with great, mainstream names, right?
But only one can join Margot, the 2018 winner. And that’s up to you!
NORA V. VIOLET
