  1. I just wanted to say that I have truly been enjoying your blog & the histories of the name are truly fascinating. I hope the weather improves by you. It’s always so bizarre to me that most of the people on the blogs & interactive sites I’ve been on are freezing when I’m lazing in the pool ! But then again, I’m shivering beneath the blankets when everyone else is diving in the pool! It’s amazing how diverse everything is .Once again, I hope the weather improves & thanks for the blog

  2. I had no idea you lived in D.C., I’m moving there within the next week, job opportunity 🙂 Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it out when I wanted to because of the snow on my side and on the D.C. side.

    1. WELCOME! How exciting.

I think we need to have a DC meet-up when the weather improves … if the weather ever improves, bwahahaha …

  3. I concur wholeheartedly! This is my go-to site for name news/researching a new name. It’s the first place I check!
Also, northern NJ didn’t get any snow whatsoever. How much did you get? I’ve only heard generalizations about just how much actually hit DC. We were expecting 12-18 inches. And got nada. Hopefully you didn’t get as much as was to be expected, either!

    1. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I always fret that the Jolie-Pitts will adopt on Saturday, so I truly HATE to pre-post them. I’m all about breaking news. 🙂

And officially, we got 26″ in my little ‘hood. (I’m inside the Beltway, outside the DC limits, right near Franklin’s Brew Pub on the Green Line if you’re ever in the area!) It looks like we’re going to get walloped again Tuesday night. We’re just not built for that kind of snow, so life has all but ground to a halt here.

But hey, we used a sled to get the kids to a SuperBowl party last night – sometime in June, we’ll look back and realize it makes for a great story.

  4. I admire your dedication. I always look forward to the Sunday Summary as well as the NotD – you always come through for us, and I want to say THANK YOU!!!
