I don’t like it, but it’s not about me. It’s about the legions of people who think that Hayden is a lovely name pronounced “hay-den” and say “what composer?” when you query them. This fits where Ashley and Whitney fit when I was growing up. That being said, I don’t see this becoming an Ashley, I think it will be more of an Ashlyn; a sound alike hopping on the trend.
Hayden’s also a pretty common surname, so I don’t think “composer” when I hear it at all. Even if it were in honor of the composer, I still prefer Hayden to Jayden.
She who has Brayton, Hayden, and a bunch of similar names in the family tree, but only as last names so far.
I don’t like it personally, but I can see trendy parents snapping it up or “creating” it. I also have this funny feeling it will be spelled Radleigh and go to the girls! (Sorry, everyone!)
Sorry, mislike is my Mother coming out in me. She said it often,as in “I don’t like that much, in fact I mislike it a lot”. So yeah, Radley’s not my cuppa tuna, but it does work, and I like it for You! 😀

Thanks for this, Abby! I assumed it would get mostly nays, but there are a decent number of yeas. I don’t want to fall in love with the next big thing, so it doesn’t bother me that everyone doesn’t love it.
For the record, I didn’t like it at first glance, but the more I thought I about the more I liked it. Now I love it. Oh, and we wouldn’t call him Rad, except for the occassional holler.
Initially I felt no, but there has been a slow, but steady rise in the use of the name and it does share a lot of features with other fashionable names (Grady, Brady, Raiden.) If one well-known Radley came on the scene, it could become popular. I don’t care for the name, but that isn’t the question.
Radley gets a solid “Maybe” from me. I think “Rad” is a ridiculous nickname (along the lines of “jump” or Swim” as nn’s) but I like it in full. So, for me, Radley would be middle name material only. Solidly. William Radley James, Rufus Radley John, you get the idea.
