I think it sounds a little too much like polyamory…
I was never really a fan of Amory as a name. It seem a little “girly” to me. The name that struck me from This Side of Paradise was Thayer.

I love Thayer! I haven’t read This Side of Paradise in years … but there was also a Thayer in How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days.
I would have totally assumed that Amory was a girl’s name & somehow related to amore / love. It’s not one that I’d personally choose for a boy for that reason.
Though I think there is a toddler boy called Emery locally – I’ve heard his Mom calling his name at the park and it took me awhile to realize that it was Emery and not Henry, like my own son.
I would use it, sounds pretty good. Emery does look slightly better.
