  1. Looking at the full data, Adaline jumped to 364th place in 2015. The Age of Adaline has certainly made this name more popular.

  2. Abby I never realised this but my amazing accountant husband just whipped up a pretty awesome spreadsheet showing the rise and fall of rank for the top 1000 names for 2014 and 2015. Im sure you have data analysis stuff but let me know if you want a copy!

    1. Natalie, that’s fabulous – would LOVE a copy! Have been trying to get Excel to do what I want all morning, and my success rate is … ummm … let’s say not quite what I would like. 🙂 appmtn (at) gmail (dot) com and MANY thanks to your amazing husband!

      1. OK will do! I am at work now (and live in Australia so opposite time zones), will send it on when I get home this evening! He will be chuffed!

          1. LOVE this so much – thankyouthankyouthankyou and will get to work doing great things with it. 🙂

  3. As an Australian it really surprises me how high Emma is, it’s not even in our top 20, same with Michael and Benjamin, Michael is only 50 here!

  4. Names I follow: Felicity jumped over a hundred spots! Esme also! Pearl is still in the 600s (our daughter’s name). Leif left the top 1000. Freya looks like it jumped as well.

    1. I love Leif. I’m trying to talk my OH into it if we ever have a boy. He’s stuck on Locke, but the baby’s surname would be an Irish name beginning with Kin- so Locke Kin- sounds a little bit like someone’s choking to me. Leif Kin- is so pretty!
