Ziggy Marley and wife Orly Agai Marley have welcomed a third child: son Abraham Selassie Robert Nesta Marley. The family also includes daughter Judah Victoria and son Gideon Robert Nesta.
A few thoughts:
- Interesting that the sons share Robert Nesta as middle names. Ziggy was born David Nesta Marley, and Bob was born Nesta Robert, so there’s a lot of family history there;
- I didn’t realize his daughter was named Judah. Like Ezra and Asa, it feels like the kind of name that would tempt parents to use for a daughter. But with Abraham and Gideon, I’d expect Judah to be a boy.
- Wow, that’s a long name!
What are your thoughts?
I like Judah strangely enough.
I’m going to have to bite my tongue extremely hard re Abraham.
And I like the new theme. I was quick to pan the “in progress” stage, but this is good on the eyes.
I always forget Judah is a daughter and not another son.
But that being said, I do love Abraham! Strong, solid and handsome
I love Abraham! But then, I love OT names so much 🙂 Also, I think Gideon pairs much better with Abraham, as opposed to that other starbaby sibset of Gideon and Harper (a la Neil Patrick Harris and partner).
As for Judah on a girl, I really don’t like it and in this case I am kind of surprised considering her brothers’ names. However, I do like that they at least paired Judah with a very feminine middle. Congrats to them!
Abraham is cool! 🙂 Though I totally skim read this announcement and didn’t realize that Judah is a girl – that certainly is unexpected with two traditional Biblical boy names.
Four middle names is a bit much for my tastes.
I don’t even mind Judah on his girl! I am such a huge fan of the Marley clan. Some days, it’s al that plays around here. Abraham is Awesome, and the middles honor. All around, Great job!
