I am due in three weeks time with bub three. First bub a girl called her Gabi ( Gabrielle) 4 years old, Second, Emma, 2 years old. BTY: it took me 8 weeks to name our second child and don’t want that to happen again.

Now we are expecting a boy. Can’t decide between Edward ( Perhaps Ned) and Robert (Rob). We both like Edward but don’t like Eddie. Husband suggested only yesterday Robert. We obviously like the classical traditional names. Middle name would be Henry.
Edward Henry Young, Robert Henry Young, ect

. Any suggestions would help.

I’m not entirely partial to the nicknames you get from Edward, but then I also don’t like the name Bobby. You’ll never really be able to control the nicknames your child is given by people outside your home, but just because grandma calls him Eddie doesn’t mean you can’t drive home for him that his name is actually Ned – no one will call his name more often than you will!

I like Robert Henry…and if you are looking for a somewhat different nickname option you could use Rhy which would be his initials.
