He’s a curious monkey, a mad king and a nursery rhyme, plus we’re all carrying him around in our wallets.  But how does this choice wear on a real child?
Today’s name is in honor of a local birthday boy: George.


He’s as classic as they come, but in the US, lags behind other regal monikers like Charles and Henry.  We think that might change, though - especially with the recent premier of the big screen version of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight.

If you’ve been under a rock, you may have missed the fact that the latest installment in the Indiana Jones franchise opens today.  Since we’ve already written about Indiana, today’s Name of the Day is what one would find on Dr. Jones’ passport as he set off for exotic journeys in foreign lands:  Henry.


While we’re of the opinion that there is no such thing as a normal name, we do grudgingly admit that there are safe, sensible choices.  These are names that will never prompt a stranger to say, “What an interesting name!”  But neither will they cause someone to do a double take and say, “Umm … [...]
