Starbaby News: Welcome Mason Dash

With all the chatter about what Kendra and Kourtney were going to name their babies, I’ll admit that I tuned out long ago.

Except that I could’ve sworn Kourtney said she was sticking to the classics.  Wasn’t Robert in the mix?

In any case, Kourtney Kardashian and boyfriend Scott Disick have welcomed Mason Dash.

She’s stopped the family kraze tradition of starting names with a K.  And I love how they borrowed one of mom’s syllables – Kardashian – for the middle name.

  1. I find Mason Dash an appealing combo. I’m not a fan of Mason at all and Dash is okay, but Mason Dash has a nice ring to it. Dash reminds me of The Incredibles, though.

  2. I’m with Caroline. I think I’d appreciate Dash more if it wasn’t already used as the name for their boutique, for the same reasons… Just seems eh. Mason Robert would have been nicer I think

  3. Um…Dash? Okay-y-y-y. Mason is all right, though it’s in the Chance, Chase, Brady camp for me. It’s not the worst offender, but I wouldn’t ever use it.

    Anyway, congrats to them!

    • I’m not about Dash myself, but I do like that they used part of mom’s last name. I have friends who did this, taking the “Bauer” out of her four-syllable German surname to make an appealing middle for their son.

And I quite like Dashiell, though Arthur tells me that unless I give birth to a detective novelist, I can’t use it. I think that’s a no. :)

  4. Thank goodness! I don’t care for the name Mason, but I love the style of the name. Mason Dash Disick sounds great.
I was expecting something like Khlover or Kherrington. I’m so relieved, haha

  5. I’m don’t mind Mason, but I find it incredibly boring and predictable.
I live in an area where a lot of people work in the stone and/or quarrying industries (all of those granite counter-tops have to come from somewhere.) Probably because of this, Mason is the #2 baby name (Carter is # 1.)
