I’d put it on my boy’s shortlist for a future bubba #2 if my fiance agreed (unlikely). We considered Sylvie for a girl and I love all those names – Sylvan or Silvan is my current boy’s crush. I’m not a fan of neo-macho boy’s names – the alternative trend towards softer boy names is much cooler!

I can’t say I don’t like him, but I wouldn’t go as far as to say that I do :) – He reminds me of Stallone, whom I personally cannot stand, and he’s always felt kind of ‘slimy’ to me – like some creepy guy with slicked back hair lol – I don’t know.

I rather like all of Alexander, Sebastian, Leander & Lysander, but I can’t seem to wrap my head around Sylvester!

I don’t think the cat ruined him, actually. I think Stallone did. He seems like a nice guy, yes but not too bright is how he always comes across and that kind of makes even me step back. I love smart. Go pile me in with the nerds and the geeks, I’ve always thought smart was sexy. Now “Sly” isn’t smart, exactly, but “Sil” is. And Sil makes me think of “The Sopranos” Steve Van Zant played Silvio Dante. And yeah, that’s a cool combo, right there. So the potential for Sil saves Sylvester for me. I’d think about it in the middle, since Sylvester sounds ridiculous with a Scottish surname but yeah, it’s wicked cool, Sylvester. I just hope the kid who bears it doesn’t have a lisp!
