Ha, I'm one of the "Laura Elizabeth" chicks you mentioned! I got a bit lucky, though. First it's Elisabeth, not Elizabeth (to honor my paternal grandmother) but they also added Susanne to honor my Mother's best friend who'd died recently. So, while there is a drawback: both middles are fairly common in my age range (just turned 40), there's at least this: neither spelling (Elisabeth or Susanne) are the most common. So I stand out a tiny bit despite having a top 20 name for my year, Even with my somewhat common-ish surname. Which is really nice.

I wish my folks were still around so I could tell them what a great job I think they did with my name, overall. My Mother would be so pleased. :)

Great post! I wish my parents had read this when they were naming me!

My name is Kathryn Elizabeth, and you do not know how many Kathryns and Kates there were in my school (and a couple at work now too!). I didn't even have a middle name to go to, just because there were so many Elizabeths too.
